The meeting of Monday, February 6, 2012 was called to order at 6:31 p.m. by Commodore Ron Good. Ron reminded members that our only means of support is through the sales of our Ship's Store and the 50/50 drawing. Tonight we have 137 members in attendance.
Ron thanked Alex Alexander and Ben Madey for the pictures they took at past PIBC events. The pictures were shown on the TV in the meeting room prior to the meeting. Thanks to Ben for the blast emails informing members of upcoming events. Be sure to check the website www.pineislandboatclub.com for event information and an opportunity to get a free 50/50 ticket.
Ron gave a brief report of the Past Commodores meeting that was held January 22nd. In the past year 52 new members have joined the club and 25 events were held. New events this past year include the Hodgepodge, Bob & Annie's Boat Yard Picnic, the Mullet Fest and the Chili Cook-off. The new rear commodore was announced at that time. Please welcome Butch & Lynne Cleveringa to the Bridge.
Linda Good reported that we have several new items in the Ship's Store and, if we don't have your size or desired color, we can get it for you. The PIBC logo can be sewn on any item that you already have.
